Selvin Mejia is the Managing Director of the conglomerate and an Immigration Consultant fluent in English and Spanish. He is a member of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants. Selvin graduated from the Social Justice and Peace Studies, and Latin American Studies from Western University and the Law Clerk/Paralegal Program at Fanshawe College in London, ON. He is also a graduate of the Humber College’s Immigration Consultancy Program. Selvin also attended the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law Common-Law program between 2009 and 2011.
During law school he did an internship with the Anti-Mining National Board in El Salvador and served as the inaugural president for the Latin American Law Students (LALSA). In addition, during his undergraduate studies at the Social Justice and Peace Studies program, Selvin led University Student delegations to International Solidarity Experiential Learning opportunities to Dominican Republic, Guatemala and his native El Salvador.
Selvin has 15 years of experience in the Immigration, Refugee Protection and Canadian Citizenship area under the mentorship of the late Edward Charles Corrigan, a Certified Specialist by the Law Society of Ontario. Moreover, he has also ample experience working with Newcomers and within the Not-for Profit Sector. He served as the Executive Director for the Canadian Latin American Association of London – CALA (2015-2016) and as the Manager for Settlement Services for the YWCA-St Thomas Elgin funded by the Ministry of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (2012- 2015).
Selvin is also a member of the Board of Directors for for Unity Project, an organization working with individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness work towards housing stability, restore well-being, and exit homelessness. In his spare time Selvin enjoys volunteering, playing soccer and spending time among family and friends.
